Impressionist and post~impressionist
Impressionist and post-impressionist collections of the Musée Marmottan constitute a very complete and representative group of works of theses artistic movements.
It counts more than three hundred paintings, pastels, watercolours and sculptures of the Impressionists and Post-impressionists : Gustave Caillebotte, Eugène Carrière, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin, Armand Guillaumin, Eugène Manet, Berthe Morisot, Camille Pissaro, Auguste Renoir, Auguste Rodin, Alfred Sisley…Most of these works belonged to Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot or to the first patrons and great collectors of the period, such as Henri Rouart, and Georges de Bellio.
Post-impressionists are well represented by significant works of Henri Duhem, Henri Lebasque, Albert Lebourg, and Henri Le Sidaner
